Mark Ruebery comes from Newport in Wales and started tinkering on the piano at the age of seven but fell in love with the guitar two years later.

By the age of 14 he was in Hi Frequency, winning local talent shows and at 18 enrolled
in the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He was a rock fan, taking a classical course and beginning to understand jazz.

As well as teaching music, he is also a session musician, and songwriter with The Sails. His debut album “Because Of You” was released in 2008
